Welcome to Olive Street Bread!

At Olive Street Bread, we love making freshly baked sourdough for our community. After years of professional baking and sharing our breads through La Petite Chevre, we wanted to continue this journey by baking for friends, family, and anyone else who might appreciate a loaf.

Each week, we prepare small batches of sourdough using quality mostly organic ingredients and a long, slow fermentation process to let the natural flavors of the grain shine.

Our Bread

This week's bread will be a yogourt sourdough. Adding yogourt a white sourdough gives it a softer texture and an extra tangy flavour, complementing what is already so great about sourdough. Pickup on Wednesday, February 4th. Thanks!

Ingredients: White flour, water, yogourt, sourdough starter, salt

Each week we bake a different variety of sourdough bread, so there’s often something new to try. Follow our Instagram for the latest bake announcements and pickup updates.

All loaves are approximately 900g unless otherwise noted. We use long, slow fermentation to build deep flavour and an open, chewy crumb.

Note: this is a home kitchen. Bread is prepared in the same kitchen as other foods and is not suitable for people with severe allergies.

Pickup details

When
We announce the next bake on Instagram each week. Loaves are ready by 9:00 AM on pickup day and will remain available throughout the day. Usually orders open on Friday, close Monday night, and pickup is on Wednesdays but be sure to check Instagram.
Where
174 Olive Street — your loaf will be left in the lower compartment of the stand on the boulevard for easy, contactless pickup.
How to order
Pre-purchase your loaf online and it will be waiting for you by 9:00 AM on pickup day. If you need alternate arrangements, email us at info@olivestreetbread.ca.
